Hi Diane,

I have checked paypal. Thanks for the money. We have spent it already. Unfortunately not in the way we had all wished.

I am not sure as to what happened but last friday night Gonzo's leg had swelled up and he had a huge sack of fluid under his chest. His skin turned black and we took him to the Fort Wayne Emergency Clinic.

The doctor that was on call told us to put him down and starting tapping on her wrist watch telling us that she has other important patients to take care of. It was a horrible experience.

We chose to give him his meds every 3 hours.

Saturday morning I drove over to Gonzo's regular doctor and was very lucky that Dr. Rodgers was there taking care of some animals in the kennel. He was very compassionate and came over to the house and put Gonzo to rest.

We had made Gonzo a steak before Dr. Rodgers came over and Gonzo would not eat it. He did however eat ice cream.

Please let everyone know and that we really appreciate them and the work of Greyhound Angel Network.

Chad Nelsy and Gonzo

Dr. Rodgers is a wonderful man. He helped my Vinnie in times of great need. I am so sorry for the experience you had at the emergency clinic. That is no way to treat people or their beloved family members.

I am so sorry Gonzo had to leave you so soon. He is no longer in pain and has many wonderful grey angels waiting for him.
Sending hugs to you,

Chad and family -

I am so very sorry for your loss! At least Gonzo's regular vet was compassionate. I know your heart is broken, but Gonzo will always be in your heart. He is now wearing Angel wings and free of any pain and running at the Bridge.

:)

With deep sympathy,

Carole and the Brindle Bunch
