We are pleased to announce the formation of the Old Fella Senior Fund. This fund has been designed to provide financial assistance for greyhounds 10 years and older who face medical conditions that result in higher veterinary care costs. Requests and distribution of funds will be subject to the same guidelines as any other request for assistance and funds.

The Old Fella Senior Fund was named in honor of the beloved greyhound fellow that touched the hearts of so many people. For those who are not familiar with the story of Old Fella, or perhaps are looking for an update, please visit the Heart of Texas Greyhound Adoption website. Old Fella's Story

***We are very saddened to announce that Old Fella crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 3/29 after suffering a stroke. He will be missed by not only his own adoption group, but all the greyhound lovers who welcomed him into their homes through the internet. Farewell to our beloved Old Fella. We are honored that your spirit will carry on through the Greyhound Angel Network senior fund, named in your honor.***

Old Fella will be the first recipient of funds through this special project as he continues to face some medical challenges. His extended greyhound family, his adoption group, would like to offer him some alternative care, acupuncture and chiropractic treatments, but they need some help in order to do so. This wonderful boy deserves all the love and care possible so please help us help him.

The Old Fella Senior Fund will be an ongoing project and donations will always be accepted for it. Many of us have opened our homes to senior greyhounds and found that they have touched our hearts and lives in some very special ways. Your generosity will allow us to offer support to these gentle souls when they need us most.
