Some of you have received an email (or two, or three :D ) regarding several greys that need our help.

Thanks to those of you who have responded so far!!!!

A 13 1/2 yr old girl has shown improvement with alternative treatment and needs a few more.

Two senior greys need a medical checkup including blood workups.

We all know how difficult it is out there.

As a reminder, GAN does not use any grant money, general donations or auction money for individuals. Donations, unless specified they can be used for individuals, are used only for adoption groups.

I'm sending a hug to all of you!

Update:

The senior gal we ~ you! ~ helped went to the bridge around three weeks after we/you helped. Her quality of life was improved. The two senior greys have had initial vetting and need further treatment.

Remember: $5, $10 whatever -- if enough people donate it adds up to be substaintial!!!!

Again -- thank you all!!!

Thank you all! I will also send an email.

So far we have collected $240.

The old gal has had two acupuncture/chiropractic treatments for a total $200. They both need blood work repeated which will cost around $250 (for both).

She has really improved imo. We are feeding her 4 small meals a day, supported by stomach meds and she is doing super (she had an upchuck problem when she came)

The youngish guy (he's 11 1/2) is spooky but has improved so much. He now comes up to me (then runs away). He is the sweetest boy. He is eating well considering he wasn't eating much at all in previous months. I am much encouraged. He needs blood work asap.

Thank you all so much! If you donate for them, please send as a gift then there are no fees in paypal.

Thanks to all who have donated so far!!! The boy's vet visit will be covered and if some promises come in, so will the girl's. She needs alternative treatment as well as repeat blood work. The boy has a vet appointment for Thursday. I have not scheduled the girl yet--I'll try & make hers a week from Tuesday which should give enough time for the promises to get here :)

I'm a firm believer of what goes around, comes around. You will all be blessed for your kindness :D

Quick update!

Blood work done on both. Vet visit was covered within $40. No checks have come in so if you sent one, let me know!

Boy's platelets jumped from 56,000 to 94,000! Much relieved and hope they keep going up! All his other blood work was good. Will recheck them in 30 days. Did put him on thyroid since his free T4 was again very low. It could be a sick thyroid, but looking for quality of life without spending thousands of dollars.... He needs to go to the chiropractor.

Girl's BUN dropped from 52 to 30! Wonderful news. She is spilling protein and her BP was very high so put her on analipril. She is looking good for 13 1/2 :D She needs more chiropractic and acupuncture. I know acupuncture helps the kidney issues and the combination of that & atbs have started working. Her's hoping it all continues. A decision will have to be made if vet wants to try a dental.

Thank you all for donating and of course, we can use more since the visits I'm talking about will run another $150 <very big sigh> without the cost of the dental.

Or, if you rather, order biscuits! I'll send 5# for the price of 4# and put the money towards the above mentioned "kids".

Maybe I can win the lottery?

T & D are back at my house. The conditions just weren't right for them at their new house with their owner.

They walked in like they never left :D D had to have acupuncture & chiropractic immediately and she is much better and is due for another treatment on Tuesday. She really needs a dental. Scary for an almost 14 yr old!

T needs treatment too and follow up blood work.

<sigh>

Well, they are doing ok. T tested positive for Valley Fever. D's bloodwork on the way to Protatek as I think she's got it too.

T has decided he wants fried food, so I have been frying him hamburgers and yesterday got him some buffalo, lamb & chicken too. He didn't care for the chicken and that is the one that is like working with snot. he could at least eat it :D

I'm tired but it's ok :)
