Guidelines for Fundraising Activities:
Fundraising activities must be for legitimate non-profit greyhound adoption programs and efforts, and for special needs hounds that are currently in a non-profit adoption program. Other emergency greyhound related situations may be considered, must be legitimate and able to be verified. Fundraising for the greyhound racing industry in any part will not be accepted and any posts regarding such activities will be deleted at the discretion of the Administrators. The administrators of this forum have the ultimate right of refusal of any fundraising activity if they feel that it is not greyhound related or falsely represented. Administrators will do their best to maintain a safe and honest board but are not liable should a fraudulent group or individual represent themselves here. If you have a question regarding the authenticity of a fundraiser or request please send a private message to an Administrator.
Fundraising activities are, but not necessarily limited to, auctions, raffles, e-bay auctions and donation drives. All fundraising activities must be greyhound related with all or a portion of monies and/or materials collected going to support retired racing greyhounds.
The Greyhound Angel Network has been set up to be able to offer itself as a donation collection location. Donations for this type of fundraiser would be collected via PayPal or through snail mail contributions. The Administrators of this forum must approve all fundraising activities wherein use of this forum for donation collection purposes has been requested.
All donations collected through PayPal will be subject to PayPal fees, which are automatically deducted when the transaction is made. The Administrators of this forum are not responsible for making up these fees. An e-mail address will be available for those who wish to make donations through PayPal and can only be used for this purpose or other purpose offered by an administrator of this forum. Administrators of this forum are not responsible for any problems that occur with PayPal or the bank holding the funds after the transfer.
The Administrators of this forum will manage and distribute collected funds as appropriate based on the current fundraiser, and do so to the best of their abilities. Collected donations will be distributed based on information provided by the initiator of the fundraising activity. The administrators of this forum are not responsible for incorrect or false information provided by an individual or group. Donations received as a result of general fundraising activities initiated and managed by the Greyhound Angel Network and will be distributed as deemed appropriate by the administrators of this forum and based on existing needs, requests, etc.
